Learn the difference between Balance, Earnings, Payout, and Waiting in the PECPool panel. This guide explains how finalized mining earnings increase your balance, when an amount moves into payout processing, what Waiting means, and how completed Bitcoin payments appear in payout history.

The PECPool panel displays several financial values related to your Bitcoin mining activity. The most important values are:

  • Balance
  • Earnings
  • Payout
  • Waiting

Although these values are connected, they do not represent the same stage of the mining payment process.

Understanding the difference helps you determine:

  • How much Bitcoin you have earned
  • How much remains in your mining account
  • How much is being prepared for payment
  • How much has already been sent
  • Why a recent earning may not yet appear as a payout

This guide explains how mining rewards move from accepted mining work to finalized earnings, account balance, waiting payment, and completed payout history.

The PECPool Payment Flow

The general financial flow in PECPool is:

Accepted Mining Work
? Finalized Earnings
? Account Balance
? Waiting for Payout
? Completed Payout

Each stage has a different meaning.

  1. Your miners submit accepted shares.
  2. PECPool calculates mining earnings under the PPS+ payment method.
  3. Finalized earnings are credited to your mining account.
  4. The credited amount contributes to your Balance.
  5. When payout conditions are met, the payment may move to Waiting.
  6. After the Bitcoin transaction is created and sent, it appears in Payout history.

What Is Earnings?

Earnings are the mining rewards calculated from the valid mining contribution of your workers during a completed mining period.

PECPool uses the PPS+ payment method. Earnings are affected by factors such as:

  • Accepted mining shares
  • Effective pool-side hashrate
  • Worker uptime
  • Bitcoin network difficulty
  • Bitcoin block subsidy
  • Bitcoin transaction fees
  • Rejected and stale shares
  • The standard PECPool pool fee

The standard PECPool mining fee is:

2.5%

An Earnings record represents the result calculated for a specific mining day. It is not the same as a Bitcoin transaction sent to your wallet.

How Daily Earnings Are Finalized

PECPool calculates each mining day using a complete UTC day:

00:00 UTC to 00:00 UTC on the following day

After the mining day has ended, PECPool processes the mining data and creates the finalized earnings record.

The calculation uses actual pool-side data, including:

  • Average effective hashrate
  • Accepted mining contribution
  • Worker activity during the complete period
  • Bitcoin network conditions
  • PPS+ reward data

A miner's current local hashrate does not by itself determine the finalized daily earnings.

For example, a miner may currently display 100 TH/s but may have been offline for several hours earlier during the same mining day. The finalized earnings will reflect the complete daily mining contribution rather than only the current value.

Estimated Earnings vs Finalized Earnings

Estimated earnings are an approximate prediction based on recent hashrate and current network conditions.

Finalized earnings are calculated after the complete mining period has ended and PECPool has processed the required mining data.

Value Meaning
Estimated Earnings Approximate expected reward based on recent conditions
Finalized Earnings Confirmed mining reward for a completed mining period

Estimated earnings may change before finalization because of:

  • Hashrate fluctuations
  • Worker downtime
  • Rejected shares
  • Difficulty changes
  • Transaction-fee changes
  • Changes in the final daily average

What Is Balance?

Balance is the Bitcoin amount currently credited to your PECPool mining account that has not yet been completed as a payout.

Finalized mining earnings increase the account balance.

A simplified balance relationship is:

Previous Balance
+ Finalized Earnings
- Amount Entered into Payout Processing
= Current Available Balance

The Balance shown in PECPool is an internal mining-account balance. It is not yet Bitcoin stored in your personal wallet.

The amount reaches your personal Bitcoin wallet only after a payout transaction has been created and sent to the registered wallet address.

What Can Increase the Balance?

The Balance normally increases when:

  • Daily mining earnings are finalized
  • A valid account adjustment is applied
  • A failed or cancelled payment is returned to the account, when applicable

The main regular source of Balance growth is finalized mining earnings.

What Can Reduce the Balance?

The Balance may decrease when:

  • An automatic payout enters payment processing
  • A manual transfer request is registered
  • An amount is moved to Waiting
  • A valid account adjustment is applied

A reduction in Balance does not always mean the Bitcoin payment has already received blockchain confirmations.

The amount may first move into Waiting while PECPool prepares the payout transaction.

What Is Waiting?

Waiting represents an amount that has entered the payout process but has not yet completed the full payment stage.

The amount is displayed separately because it is no longer treated as a normal freely available Balance while payment processing is in progress.

An amount may move to Waiting when:

  • The automatic payout threshold has been reached
  • A valid manual transfer request has been submitted
  • The payment is queued for processing
  • The Bitcoin transaction is being prepared

Waiting does not normally mean that mining earnings have been lost. It means the payment is between the account-balance stage and the completed-payout stage.

What Happens to a Waiting Amount?

The normal process is:

  1. The amount is selected for payout.
  2. The amount is moved out of available Balance.
  3. The amount appears as Waiting.
  4. PECPool prepares the Bitcoin transaction.
  5. The transaction is broadcast to the Bitcoin network.
  6. The payment appears in Payout history.

After the transaction is created, the Waiting amount should move to the appropriate payout record.

Does Waiting Mean the Transaction Is Confirmed?

No. Waiting means the payment is still being processed and may not yet have a final Bitcoin transaction ID.

Bitcoin network confirmation begins only after the transaction has been created and broadcast.

The payment stages should be understood separately:

Stage Meaning
Balance Amount credited to the mining account
Waiting Amount queued or being prepared for payout
Payout Created Bitcoin transaction has been generated and sent
Blockchain Confirmation Bitcoin network has included and confirmed the transaction

What Is Payout?

Payout represents Bitcoin that PECPool has processed and sent through a Bitcoin transaction.

The Payout section or payout history can include information such as:

  • Payment amount
  • Payment date
  • Destination wallet address
  • Bitcoin transaction ID
  • Payment status

A payout record is different from an Earnings record.

One payout may contain the balance accumulated from multiple daily earnings records.

Total Payout Value

When the panel displays a general Payout value, it may represent the total Bitcoin amount already paid from that mining account.

For example:

  • Total finalized earnings over time: 0.150 BTC
  • Total completed payouts: 0.120 BTC
  • Current Balance and Waiting combined: approximately 0.030 BTC

The exact relationship can be affected by fees, adjustments, and the current payout-processing stage.

Payout vs Bitcoin Confirmation

A payout can appear in PECPool after the Bitcoin transaction has been created and broadcast, while the Bitcoin network is still confirming it.

After the transaction is broadcast:

  • A transaction ID becomes available.
  • The transaction can be checked in a Bitcoin block explorer.
  • The wallet may show it as pending.
  • Confirmations increase after Bitcoin blocks are mined.

The time required for confirmation depends on Bitcoin network conditions and transaction fee conditions.

Automatic Payout

Automatic payout sends the account balance when the configured payout threshold and other payment conditions are met.

The standard minimum automatic payout threshold is:

0.001 BTC

To receive an automatic payout, the mining account must have a valid and confirmed Bitcoin wallet address.

When the eligible amount is selected for automatic payment, it may first appear under Waiting before the Bitcoin transaction is completed.

Manual Transfer

PECPool users can also submit a manual transfer request from the panel when the applicable conditions are met.

The standard minimum amount for a manual transfer from the PECPool panel is:

0.0001 BTC

Manual transfers require the account's security conditions, including Two-Factor Authentication, to be completed.

After a valid request is submitted, the amount may move from Balance to Waiting until the payment transaction is created.

Why Is My Balance Lower After Requesting a Payout?

When an amount enters payment processing, PECPool separates it from the available Balance to prevent the same amount from being requested or paid twice.

The amount should then be visible in:

  • Waiting while processing is in progress
  • Payout history after the transaction is created

A lower Balance combined with a corresponding Waiting amount normally indicates that the payment process has started.

Why Is My Balance Zero but Waiting Is Not Zero?

This may happen when the complete available Balance has entered payout processing.

Example:

  • Balance before processing: 0.0015 BTC
  • Amount moved to Waiting: 0.0015 BTC
  • Current available Balance: 0 BTC

The funds have not disappeared. They are being prepared for payment and are displayed under Waiting until the payout stage is completed.

Why Is Waiting Zero but My Balance Is Not Zero?

This normally means that no amount is currently in payout processing.

Possible reasons include:

  • The automatic payout threshold has not been reached.
  • No manual transfer request has been submitted.
  • The mining account does not yet have a confirmed wallet.
  • The previous payout has already completed.

Why Is Payout Larger Than Balance?

The Payout value may represent the total amount paid over the entire history of the mining account, while Balance represents only the amount currently remaining.

Example:

  • Total Payout: 0.500 BTC
  • Current Balance: 0.006 BTC

This means the mining account has already received 0.500 BTC in previous payouts and currently has 0.006 BTC credited but not yet paid.

Why Are Earnings Larger Than the Current Balance?

Earnings history may show all daily mining rewards over a long period. The current Balance only shows the unpaid amount that remains now.

Previous earnings may already have:

  • Been paid
  • Moved to Waiting
  • Been included in earlier payouts

Therefore, historical Earnings can be much larger than the current Balance.

Why Did Earnings Increase but Balance Not Change Yet?

Possible reasons include:

  • The earnings shown are still estimated.
  • The daily earnings process has not completed.
  • The finalized amount has not yet been credited.
  • The balance update is still being processed.
  • The amount immediately entered payout processing.

Check whether the Earnings record is finalized and whether any amount is displayed under Waiting.

Why Is Yesterday's Earnings Record Missing?

Daily earnings require processing after the mining day has ended.

If the record is temporarily missing:

  • The daily calculation may still be running.
  • The account may not have submitted valid shares during that period.
  • The wrong mining account may be selected.
  • The earnings page may not yet have refreshed.

A delayed record does not automatically mean the mining rewards have been lost.

Complete Example of the Payment Flow

Assume a mining account starts with:

Balance: 0.00080 BTC
Waiting: 0 BTC
Total Payout: 0.01000 BTC

The account then receives finalized earnings of:

0.00030 BTC

The updated values become approximately:

Balance: 0.00110 BTC
Waiting: 0 BTC
Total Payout: 0.01000 BTC

The account has now exceeded the 0.001 BTC automatic payout threshold. When the eligible amount enters payment processing:

Balance: 0 BTC
Waiting: 0.00110 BTC
Total Payout: 0.01000 BTC

After the Bitcoin transaction is created and the payout record is completed:

Balance: 0 BTC
Waiting: 0 BTC
Total Payout: 0.01110 BTC

This is a simplified example. Actual values may be affected by payment fees, account settings, adjustments, and the exact amount selected for payout.

Example with Partial Balance Remaining

Assume an account has:

Balance: 0.00350 BTC

If a manual transfer request is submitted for:

0.00200 BTC

The values may temporarily become:

Available Balance: 0.00150 BTC
Waiting: 0.00200 BTC

After the payout is created, the Waiting amount moves to payout history while the remaining 0.00150 BTC stays in Balance.

Wallet Confirmation Is Important

A valid Bitcoin wallet address is required before PECPool can send a payout.

When registering or changing a wallet:

  1. Open the mining account settings.
  2. Enter the correct Bitcoin wallet address.
  3. Select the payout threshold.
  4. Save the request.
  5. Open the confirmation email.
  6. Confirm the wallet change.

Until the wallet is confirmed, automatic payout processing may not proceed normally.

Always Check the Wallet Address

Bitcoin transactions are irreversible after they are broadcast and confirmed.

Before confirming a wallet address:

  • Verify the complete address.
  • Check the first and last characters.
  • Confirm that it is a Bitcoin address.
  • Confirm that you control the destination wallet.
  • Protect your computer from clipboard malware.

Never enter a wallet private key or seed phrase into PECPool. Only the public Bitcoin receiving address is required.

Understanding Transaction IDs

After PECPool creates and broadcasts a payout, a Bitcoin transaction ID may be displayed.

The transaction ID, also called a TXID, identifies the payment on the Bitcoin network.

The TXID can be used to check:

  • The amount sent
  • The destination address
  • The transaction fee
  • Whether the transaction is pending
  • The number of blockchain confirmations

A Waiting payment may not yet have a TXID because the Bitcoin transaction may not have been created.

Common Misunderstandings

Earnings Means the Bitcoin Was Sent

Incorrect. Earnings represent calculated mining rewards. They are not a wallet transaction.

Balance Means the Bitcoin Is Already in My Wallet

Incorrect. Balance is held in the PECPool mining account until payout.

Waiting Means the Payment Failed

Incorrect. Waiting normally means the payment is queued or being processed.

Payout Means the Transaction Is Fully Confirmed

Not necessarily. A payout record may be created after broadcast while Bitcoin network confirmations are still pending.

Total Payout Should Equal Current Balance

Incorrect. Total Payout represents historical completed payments, while Balance represents the amount currently remaining.

When Should You Contact Support?

Further investigation may be required when:

  • A Waiting amount remains unchanged for an unusually long period.
  • The Waiting amount disappears without appearing in Balance or Payout history.
  • A payout record has no transaction information after processing should be complete.
  • The displayed destination wallet is not the wallet you confirmed.
  • A finalized earnings record appears incorrect after reviewing hashrate and uptime.
  • The payout transaction shows a technical error.

When contacting support, provide:

  • Your mining account name
  • The relevant payout amount
  • The payout or request date
  • The transaction ID, when available
  • A screenshot of the relevant panel section

Never send your account password, Two-Factor Authentication code, wallet private key, or seed phrase to support.

Quick Reference

Value Meaning Blockchain Transaction Created?

Follow Each Payment Stage

The easiest way to understand PECPool account values is to view them as stages of one payment process.

Mining Activity
? Earnings
? Balance
? Waiting
? Payout
? Bitcoin Confirmations

Earnings show what your mining operation generated, Balance shows what remains credited to the account, Waiting shows what is being processed, and Payout shows what has been sent.

Reviewing these values together provides a complete view of your PECPool mining rewards and Bitcoin payment status.
