Bitcoin Holds Near $65,000 as Traders Assess Fed Policy and ETF Demand

Bitcoin is trading near $64,600 after moving between approximately $63,250 and $65,040 during the latest session. The market remains caught between recovering institutional demand and macroeconomic uncertainty, with the $65,000–$66,700 region acting as an important resistance zone.

Bitcoin continued to trade near the $65,000 level on July 30, 2026, as investors evaluated the latest Federal Reserve decision, changing spot ETF flows and uncertain conditions across global risk markets.

At the time of publication, Bitcoin was valued at approximately $64,656, after recording an intraday low near $63,252 and a high around $65,040. The wide daily range reflects an active battle between buyers attempting to extend July’s recovery and sellers defending important resistance levels.

Bitcoin Recovers After Testing Lower Support

Bitcoin briefly approached the $63,200 area before recovering toward $65,000. This movement suggests that buyers remain active below $64,000, although the recovery has not yet produced a confirmed breakout above the recent trading range.

The immediate technical structure can be divided into three important zones:

  • Initial support: $63,200–$63,800
  • Major psychological support: approximately $60,000
  • Immediate resistance: $65,000–$66,700

A sustained move above $65,000 would improve short-term momentum, but Bitcoin may need to break above approximately $66,700 before traders view the recovery as a stronger bullish continuation. Conversely, a decisive loss of the $63,200 area could increase the probability of another test of the psychologically important $60,000 level.

Federal Reserve Maintains Interest Rates

Macroeconomic policy remains one of the most important influences on Bitcoin’s short-term direction.

On July 29, the Federal Reserve maintained its benchmark interest-rate target at 3.50%–3.75%. The central bank said that economic activity continued to expand at a solid pace but acknowledged elevated uncertainty and inflation remaining above its 2% objective.

The decision was approved by a 9–3 vote, with three officials preferring a quarter-percentage-point rate increase. This division indicates that monetary policy could remain restrictive, limiting expectations for rapid interest-rate reductions.

Higher interest rates and elevated bond yields can reduce demand for risk assets, including cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin may therefore remain sensitive to inflation reports, employment data and any signal that changes expectations for future Federal Reserve policy.

ETF Demand Shows Early Signs of Stabilization

Institutional demand through U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs has also produced mixed signals.

After several consecutive sessions of net withdrawals, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $32.1 million in net inflows on July 29. BlackRock’s IBIT attracted around $89.8 million, while withdrawals from Fidelity’s FBTC and ARK 21Shares’ ARKB reduced the overall daily total.

The return to positive daily flows is encouraging, but one session is not sufficient to confirm a broader institutional recovery. Bitcoin ETF products registered substantial outflows on July 23 and July 24, followed by smaller withdrawals on July 27 and July 28.

A consistent series of positive ETF flows would provide stronger evidence that institutional investors are accumulating Bitcoin around current prices.

Bullish Scenario

The bullish scenario would become stronger if Bitcoin:

  1. Continues holding above the $63,200–$63,800 support region.
  2. Establishes a sustained position above $65,000.
  3. Breaks the recent resistance near $66,700 with increased trading volume.
  4. Receives several consecutive days of positive spot ETF flows.

Under these conditions, Bitcoin could begin testing higher resistance levels and extend its recovery from the lows recorded earlier in the summer.

Bearish Scenario

The bearish scenario would gain strength if Bitcoin falls below $63,200 and fails to recover quickly.

Such a breakdown could expose the $60,000 psychological level. A loss of $60,000 would represent a more serious deterioration in market structure and could bring the June lows near $57,600 back into focus.

Market Outlook

Bitcoin’s short-term outlook remains neutral with cautious bullish potential.

Buyers have demonstrated an ability to defend prices below $64,000, while the return of limited ETF inflows provides some support. However, Bitcoin has not yet broken the resistance levels required to confirm a stronger upward trend.

The next decisive movement will likely depend on whether Bitcoin can close convincingly above the $65,000–$66,700 region or loses the support established around $63,200.

Until either boundary is broken, Bitcoin may remain volatile inside its current trading range as investors monitor monetary policy, ETF demand, the U.S. dollar and broader financial-market sentiment.
