Bitcoin’s raw computing might just keeps flexing, and on Friday the network notched yet another record — blasting its hashrate up to 1,057 exahash per second (EH/s) or 1.057 zettahash per second (ZH).
After vaulting past the 1 zettahash per second (ZH/s) threshold, Bitcoin’s mining difficulty climbed 4.89% to reach an all-time pinnacle of 136.04 trillion. This adjustment, paired with softened bitcoin prices, has tightened the squeeze on mining participants.
According to recent metrics, bitcoin miners sustained solid earnings results in August, capturing revenue nearly on par with July’s tally, or marginally above, with earnings ranging from $1.633 billion to $1.66 billion.
Yesterday, Bitcoin’s total hashrate ran hot, topping out at 986 exahashes per second (EH/s); since then, it has leapt into the 1 zettahash range (ZH/s). If that computational might holds, the zettahash era could become a normal fixture going forward.
Bitcoin’s hashrate just blasted past the 976 exahash per second (EH/s) record it hit on Aug. 8, 2025, according to the latest metrics. As of now, the network’s computational firepower is hovering between a fierce 979 and 986 EH/s. While the upward trend has remained steady, current metrics suggest the hashrate may still have plenty of room to climb from this point forward.
